Dayton Superior Wood Cone, 1/2" D x 1" L

These loose wood cones are placed over the coil bolt after the bolts have been put through the formwork and before the bolt is threaded into the coil tie. The large end provides a sufficient bearing surface to prevent damage of the plywood form. The wood cones are generally considered to be a single use item.

Wood cones absorb moisture from the fresh concrete and swell slightly. After the forms have been removed, the wooden cones dry out and shrink, allowing them to be easily removed.
