Sherwin Williams Xylol Xylene is a strong aromatic solvent used for thinning and cleanup of oil-based paints, enamels, and lacquers. It has a slower drying time than Toluene, so it is often used to achieve a smooth finish or to have more time to blend oil-based paints together before they dry. This can be used as a general-purpose thinner and cleanup solvent. This product is not soluble in water; not for use with water-based paints.
